Information Security Operations & Maintenance Specialist | Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Operations Specialist to manage and maintain the company’s information security systems. The role involves enforcing and hardening security policies across all systems, analyzing and characterizing security events, and providing solutions with a strong focus on maintaining high security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain communication and information security solutions in a GCP cloud environment.
Manage and maintain firewalls and implement security policies.
Operate and harden DDoS protection systems, both infrastructural and application-level (WAF, IPS).
Operate and harden Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.
Conduct periodic system assessments and technology upgrades to ensure optimal security levels.
Collaborate closely with IT and information security teams to troubleshoot issues and improve existing systems.
Document architecture and create high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD), RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs.
Lead projects in communication and information security infrastructures in a matrix organization.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in information security operations.
Proven experience operating and leading the following products: Firewalls, DLP, WAF, Mail Relay, Proxy.
Proven experience with EDR systems such as CrowdStrike or Carbon Black.
Strong knowledge and experience analyzing information security events, including DDoS prevention.
Experience defining architectures and writing HLD, LLD, RFP, RFI, and SOW documents.
Experience leading information security solutions in cloud environments.
Experience operating GoAnywhere or CyberArk solutions and providing customer-facing solutions is a plus.
Relevant information security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP) are an advantage.
Strong teamwork skills, high availability, and the ability to handle incidents outside normal working hours.
Excellent written and spoken English.
