Role Overview
The Manager Data Management will lead the organization’s data department, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of Data Analysts, BI Developers, and Data Engineers. This role combines ownership of the technological data strategy with close partnership in shaping business strategy, with a clear mission: leveraging data to create real business value and support the organization’s strategic objectives.
The role involves close collaboration with business units—including Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Product—to define requirements, translate them into scalable data solutions, and ensure data supports effective, data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the data organization, including Analysts, BI Developers, and Data Engineers.
Own the data architecture, ETL processes, data quality standards, and Data Governance frameworks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to produce insights and data-driven solutions that drive organizational goals.
Lead cross-organizational projects in BI, Big Data, and Analytics with significant business impact.
Build and maintain the technological Data Roadmap in partnership with senior leadership.
Present insights, dashboards, and management reports to executives to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Professional & Managerial Experience
5–7 years of experience managing Data/BI departments in technology or financial organizations.
Strong advantage: experience in data-driven product companies.
Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams (Analysts, BI Developers, Data Engineers).
Experience defining and implementing organization-wide data strategies focused on business value.
Demonstrated success managing complex Data & Analytics projects with defined business outcomes.
Technical Skills
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
Expertise with Data Warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Hands-on experience with ETL tools and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, DBT, Talend).
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including Data Lakes and security best practices.
Proficiency in SQL; advantage for experience with Python or R.
Familiarity with Data Governance, data quality processes, and MDM methodologies.
Business & Analytical Skills
Deep understanding of business processes in payments/FinTech – strong advantage.
Experience translating business needs into data solutions, analytical models, and executive reporting.
Ability to communicate insights clearly to senior leadership.
Strong data-driven decision-making mindset.
Experience defining, implementing, and measuring business KPIs.
Proven experience managing data development processes, including quality controls and testing procedures.
