This is a rare opportunity to take technical ownership of a large-scale multidisciplinary development program operating at the edge of performance across electro-optics, imaging, optics, mechanics, electronics, materials and space systems.
The Role
Serve as the technical authority for a complex multidisciplinary development program
Lead the system development from early concept and architecture through integration, testing and delivery
Drive key technical decisions, design trade-offs and engineering reviews
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams including Systems, Optics, Electro-Optics, Mechanics and Electronics
Define technical direction, priorities and development processes
Remove technical and organizational barriers and drive development activities forward
Manage engineering resources, schedules, risks and technical deliverables
Work closely with program management, customers, subcontractors and external engineering partners
Ensure system-level performance and design integrity throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
B.Sc. in Engineering
At least 5 years of experience leading significant multidisciplinary development programs
Strong technical background in Electro-Optics / Optics / Imaging / Space Systems / Satellite Systems
Experience with complex system development from early development stages through integration and testing
Strong system-level understanding and ability to make technical decisions across multiple engineering disciplines
Experience working in the defense industry or on complex defense-related engineering programs
Proven ability to lead matrix-based multidisciplinary engineering teams
Experience working with customers, subcontractors and external engineering organizations
Systems Engineering background – strong advantage
Experience with space or satellite systems – strong advantage
