This role is ideal for engineers with strong experience in complex mechanical systems incorporating motors, sensors, bearings, actuators, and motion components- from concept definition through prototyping and mass production.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of complex robotic mechanisms and precision assemblies from concept to production.
Take ownership of full product development cycles – including requirements analysis, concept generation, detailed design, prototyping, testing, integration, manufacturing support, and verification.
Design multidisciplinary mechanical systems incorporating motors, gears, sensors, bearings, and motion-control components.
Develop innovative mechanical solutions for high-precision applications in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Define and execute validation and testing methodologies to ensure performance and compliance with engineering requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including systems, electronics, software, manufacturing, quality, and operations.
Collaborate with suppliers and support manufacturability, sourcing, qualification, and production processes.
Generate and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, design reviews, protocols, reports, ECOs, and technical specifications.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development of complex robotic or automation systems.
Proven experience designing mechanisms that integrate motors, sensors, actuators, bearings, and precision mechanical components.
Experience leading products or assemblies from concept through production.
Strong experience with SolidWorks, including complex assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings.
Experience performing FEA analysis.
Experience working with PLM systems and ECO/ECN processes.
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems and integration challenges.
Experience in robotics, automation, defense systems, motion-control systems, or precision machinery – advantage.
Experience in medical devices -advantage.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Fluent Hebrew and English.
