We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the hardware and mechanics team developing an advanced multidisciplinary loitering munition system. In this role, you will take full ownership of the design, development, and support of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, mechanisms, and components across the entire system lifecycle.
This position calls for a combination of strong technical expertise, hands-on approach, and system-level perspective — ensuring that designs are both innovative and ready for production. You will collaborate closely with system, hardware, and software engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions from concept to serial production.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies from concept to production.
• Ensure seamless mechanical integration with electronic components such as PCBs, sensors, and interfaces.
• Prepare 3D models, detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation in accordance with company and manufacturing standards.
• Conduct tests, validations, and field trials as part of the development process.
• Support the transition from prototype to mass production, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and testing teams.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with system requirements and optimal integration.
• Apply practical problem-solving skills and engineering judgment in real-world conditions.
Requirements
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering — Mandatory (M.Sc. — Advantage)
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and development of multidisciplinary systems
• Proven background in the defense industry — Mandatory
• Experience with airborne platforms or UAV systems — Strong Advantage
• Expertise in electro-mechanical and mechanism design (motors, sensors, motion systems) — Advantage
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks — Advantage)
• Familiarity with FEA tools — Advantage
• Strong practical orientation and hands-on mindset
• System-level thinking and understanding of mechanical interfaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in field testing and system validation activities
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
