In this role, you will be the technical authority for designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure in a challenging Multi-Cloud environment, bridging the gap between legacy systems and modern data architecture.
Responsibilities:
Manage Production environments – installations, configuration, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting.
Proactive monitoring, bottleneck identification, and query/index optimization.
Manage and scale databases across cloud environments (Azure / GCP / AWS), configuring High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
Architect and manage PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB clusters and handle cloud data warehousing operations.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for database migrations, and write scripts (PowerShell / Python / Bash) to automate maintenance processes.
Enforce data integrity, backup verification, and enterprise security compliance based on best practices.
Requirements:
At least 7+ years of experience as an Infrastructure DBA with a strong emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server
At least two years of experience in management position
Deep knowledge of AlwaysOn, Replication, Backup & Restore, and Clustering architectures
Proven, hands-on experience managing data services in public cloud environments (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
Proven experience managing PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB in Production
Strong scripting skills
Advantages:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep)
Familiarity with GCP BigQuery and cloud data warehousing
Experience with specific Database CI/CD tools (Flyway, Liquibase, DbUp)
