We are looking for a Procurement Officer & Import-Export Specialist to join our operations team and take ownership of both day-to-day procurement activities and international logistics processes. This role ensures the timely availability of materials, components, and equipment in the required quality and at optimal cost, while also managing import and export activities in compliance with timelines and regulatory requirements. The position reports directly to the COO, works closely with the Procurement Coordinator, and involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, as well as local and international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Ongoing Procurement-
Execute day-to-day operational and technical procurement activities
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) to local and international suppliers
Monitor deliveries, lead times, and proactively manage delays
Purchase Requisitions & Technical / Logistical Alignment-
Handle Purchase Requisitions (PRs) from all company departments
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure technical and logistical alignment
Support internal stakeholders in defining procurement requirements
Supplier Management-
Manage ongoing relationships with existing suppliers
Source and evaluate new suppliers locally and globally based on technical requirements
Obtain, analyze, and compare supplier quotations (pricing, availability, delivery terms)
Handle quality issues, returns, and RMA processes
Import & Export Operations-
Coordinate international shipments (import of components and export of products)
Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and global suppliers
Prepare shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, export documents)
Track shipments and ensure adherence to timelines
Ensure compliance with regulatory and export control requirements
Coordinate internally to support timely and accurate deliveries to customers
Documentation & Control-
Maintain accurate documentation of purchase orders, suppliers, and contracts
Manage procurement activities within ERP systems
Review and reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders
Support procurement reporting and budget tracking
Requirements:
Education & Experience-
24 years of proven experience in a procurement role mandatory
Experience in import-export processes and international shipping mandatory
Experience in technical / industrial procurement mandatory
Technician certificate or bachelors degree advantage
Knowledge & Skills-
Experience procuring electronic components, mechanical parts, and production or laboratory equipment
Familiarity with international shipping and import/export processes
Ability to read and understand technical specifications significant advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong emphasis on Excel
Hands-on experience working with ERP systems mandatory (advantage with Priority ERP)
Languages:
Hebrew native level
English high level, written and spoken (daily interaction with international suppliers)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a defense company or defense-related industry.
Familiarity with defense regulations and sensitive supply chains.
Experience in international procurement, shipping, and import processes.
Knowledge of quality standards (ISO / AS).
Security clearance or willingness to undergo security clearance.
