A leading defense R&D environment is seeking an Algorithm Engineer to develop advanced sensing systems operating in complex, real-world conditions.
Full ownership of the algorithmic lifecycle from physical modeling and signal research through implementation, optimization, and validation in laboratory and field environments. The position combines deep signal processing expertise, machine learning, and multidisciplinary system integration.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement advanced signal processing and learning algorithms
Convert raw sensor data into robust computational models
Plan, execute, and analyze lab and field experiments
Conduct signal and image processing research
Collaborate with data science, hardware, and system engineering teams
Requirements
B.Sc. in Physics / Electrical Engineering / Geophysics (M.Sc./Ph.D. advantage)
3+ years of Signal Processing experience with strong sampling theory knowledge
3+ years analyzing audio or sensor signals (STFT, spectrograms, filtering)
Experience in extracting features and integrating them into ML pipelines
Hands-on Deep Learning experience (CNNs, Transformers)
Strong Python and scientific/ML stack proficiency
Large-scale data processing and self-supervised learning advantage
