Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager with the ability to thrive in an environment with complex software and hardware designs, take ownership and be responsible for the human-machine interface of a robotic platform.

The Product Manager will help design the user interface of our products, both graphical and physical, based on a deep understanding of clinical needs and environment. The Product Manager will define the clinical requirements for our systems, design validation studies to demonstrate the device effectiveness and safety, and execute these studies.

Responsibilities
– Define user requirements in collaboration with R&D and Regulatory Affairs.
– Illustrate design ideas using storyboards and process flows.
– Collaborate with industrial designers in designing physical interfaces (knobs, buttons, light indications etc.), and with graphical designers in designing graphical user interfaces.
– Analyze the risks involved in operating our product, potential user errors or misuse, and define control methods.
– Conduct applied research on human factors and human-machine interaction in surgical robotics.
– Design and execute experiments, refine research methodologies, and analyze usability data.
– Lead verification and validation activities related to the human-machine interface of the system.
– Collect and synthesize detailed information about how users interact with our products through various techniques including interviews, simulations, direct observation at hospitals, task analysis, and persona development.

Requirements
– BSc/BA in a relevant field
– 3+ years of experience in Product Management for software-driven products
– Superior ability to empathize with people and understand the human factor
– Exceptional communication and collaboration skills—verbal, written, and presentation
– Ability to work with and across various groups and levels of management within the organization, including other engineering groups, marketing, clinical, engineering, and regulatory
– Ability to apply user-centered design and usability engineering principles for product research, development, and design
