A leading global technology company is seeking an experienced Logic Design & FPGA Team Leader to lead and expand its FPGA engineering team.
This is a strategic leadership position with significant influence on product architecture, technology decisions, and execution. The role combines hands-on FPGA and RTL development with team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and technical ownership of advanced hardware solutions.
As a key member of the hardware engineering organization, you will contribute to the design and delivery of sophisticated, high-performance systems in a multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of FPGA engineers.
Define FPGA architecture and drive technical direction for new developments.
Design, implement, and verify FPGA/RTL solutions using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
Collaborate with hardware, software, system, and algorithm teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Oversee FPGA development from architecture through implementation, integration, and validation.
Ensure design quality, timing closure, and compliance with engineering standards.
Support system integration, bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization.
Contribute to product architecture discussions and technology roadmap planning.
Requirements:
B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 6 years of hands-on experience in FPGA/RTL development.
At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
Strong background in FPGA architecture and digital logic design.
Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
Experience with FPGA development tools such as Vivado and/or Quartus.
Deep understanding of:
Static Timing Analysis (STA)
Timing constraints (XDC/SDC)
Clock-domain crossing and low-skew clocking methodologies
Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and debugging tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and JTAG.
Experience working with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and SerDes.
Ability to read electrical schematics and understand system-level hardware considerations.
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
Advantages:
Experience with Artix-7 and/or Kintex UltraScale+ devices.
Familiarity with signal-processing algorithms.
Experience developing complex products in a multidisciplinary environment.
