This position is ideal for an engineer with strong expertise in optics and laser technologies, who can combine deep technical understanding with system-level leadership in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead system engineering activities for advanced laser and EO systems
* Define system requirements, architecture and technical interfaces
* Lead integration, validation and system performance evaluation
* Perform technical analyses, simulations, trade-off studies and experiments
* Drive multidisciplinary development activities across optics, lasers, mechanics and electronics
* Support the transition of complex systems from development into production
* Lead technical decision-making throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
* B.Sc. in Electro-Optics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Physics
* M.Sc. – advantage; required for Physics graduates
* 3+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or 5+ years in multidisciplinary laser-based R&D
* Strong knowledge of **optics and laser technologies**, including solid-state and/or fiber lasers
* Experience with system integration, validation and technical reviews
* Experience leading multidisciplinary technical activities
* High-power laser experience – strong advantage
* Strong English communication skills
* Willingness to travel abroad when required
