A fast-growing, innovative technology company is looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to lead its engineering and product development organization.
This is a key executive position, offering the opportunity to shape the company's engineering strategy, lead multidisciplinary development teams, and play a significant role in the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and manage the company's engineering organization.
– Oversee multidisciplinary engineering and NPI (New Product Introduction) teams.
– Drive the transition from product development to manufacturing.
– Lead the full product development lifecycle from concept through production.
– Collaborate closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and other cross-functional teams.
– Ensure compliance with industry regulations, certification requirements, and quality standards.
– Promote innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
Requirements
– Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
– Proven experience leading engineering and product development teams.
– Hands-on experience managing NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
– Mandatory experience in UAVs, aircraft, or airborne systems development.
– Strong understanding of engineering development processes, system integration, certification, and regulatory requirements within the aerospace or airborne systems industry.
– Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving cross-functional engineering initiatives.
– Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
